Healthcare Community Slams House-Passed ACA Repeal-and-Replace Bill

May 25, 2017—Hospitals, health professionals, and healthcare advocacy groups sharply criticized House-passed legislation[1] to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act yesterday after the Congressional Budget Office and Joint Committee on Taxation reported that 51 million people under age 65 would lack health insurance in 2026 under the bill – 23 million more than under the ACA.
