December 11, 2015—Congress should reduce Medicare Part B drug reimbursement for 340B hospitals by 10 percent of a drug’s average sales price (ASP) and redistribute the estimated $300 million in savings to hospitals providing the most uncompensated care through Medicare’s hospital uncompensated care payment pool, the chairman of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission proposed in a draft recommendation discussed during the panel’s public meeting yesterday.
